My daddy was diagnosed w/prostate cancer today. Luckily they caught it early but it still really *****. They're gonna do the surgery to remove his prostate in January - he wanted to wait till after my wedding but the doc told him no - gotta love daddy putting his daughter first in a life/death situation..he's crazy.

he seems to be ok so far since the inital shock wore off, but i am so sad. i want to move back to ny TODAY but i know that's not happening anytime soon.

just need your hugs n prayers for my daddy. i don't want anything to happen to him....i wish he was invincible.

k. im gonna try to stay upbeat so i dont cry for the entire night. ugh this *****.

My prayers are with you and your family...

I went through this with my father almost 2 years ago now and he is fine.....Just try to stay positive and everything will be fine. It definitley ***** to be going through this, it was very hard to see my dad sick and everything....but our Daddys are strong and will come out on top.

I'm so sorry. My dad was also diagnosed with this a few months ago. It was actually at the same time as FH's mom was undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer. But like your dad they caught it early and he's doing great now.

It's wonderful that they caught it early and that your dad was smart enough to go for the check up. With treatment, it's something that can be handled quite well. It was just a couple of rough days but my dad is 100% back to normal. And the plus is that he now actually listens to us and goes to the doctor!

I know that your daddy is going to be ok. You'll both be in my thoughts. If you ever need to talk just FM me. huggy:

Your words really mean alot. the doc said that radiation and the balloon ? can't keep it from coming back, so he will have his prostate removed. He's doing better than I expected and he seems like its one of those things u have to deal with.

I really hate living far away b/c i want to be able to go over and hug him, but i can't cause he's in ny and im in FL. I told my fi that I want to move back but I know that it will be hard b/c 1 - were settled here, 2- his son is here and I would be asking him to leave his son and 3 - there arent any guarantees in ny

it just s-cks alot. but i appreciate all of your support!!!
