My SIL is pregnant for the second time (the first one ended in a miscarriage). She is about to enter her 2nd trimester. But now she is going in for emergency surgery on Monday to remove an ovarian cyst that has grown to the size of 2 softballs.
They first said they wanted to wait until further into the 2nd trimester because the baby would be more stable. But they have to take it out because there is no more room for the baby to grow.
UPDATE: 7/24 Thank you for your prayers, please keep them coming!! The surgery was a partial success. They ended up having to remove the ovary and part of the fallopian tube. They are keeping her overnight in hopes of keeping her from going into labor.
But there was a funny part: When the doctor was in there, the baby kicked at him twice. He said the uterus, right near where he was suddenly kicked at him. It was like the baby was saying 'GET OUT OF HERE!'

So happy to hear that they are both doing well...I guess the baby had a right to kick him...he was interupting it's sleep!

I never saw this until today....so excuse my laughter... that kicking story is hilarious and cute...and definitely something that your SIL can hopefully share with her child someday!

She is definitely in my prayers. It sounds like she is going to have some feisty baby! Good sign about the kick!
