need quick advice....please!!!

Ok, here is the situation. I sent out a resume for a teaching job last week. The deadline was November 5th. I sent mine out Weds morning.

I was wondering if I should call and make sure that the resume was received. Many people have told me to do this, but I am not sure it is appropriate. What do you girls think? Thanks sooooo much!


Updated: Well, as I said I was apprehensive about calling. I was just about to call, and my dad yells down that he needs the phone. So, I let him use the phone, and tell myself that I will call when he gets off. Well, when he was on the phone, the school called. YEAH!!!!!!!!! I called them back and I have an interview tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps... but I do know that a lot of jobs frown upon phone calls about job openings.

Ask anyone who works in HR. Also... lets say they DIDNT get it... the deadline already passed so there isn't much you can do.

I really don't see any advantage of actually calling them.
