My Dr. no longer accepts my insurance, and I need to see a Dr. today (if possible), as I think I have strep throat.
Can anyone please recommend their Dr. in the western suffolk, eastern nassau region?

My doctor is good (she's in smithtown) her name is Dr. Becker. The problem is that she is the only one that is good in that office, so if you are going to go there make sure you only get HER.

Dr. Aida Becker (as futureMrsH recommended) is GREAT. She works in Dr. Roxanne Carfora's practice. The office will let you see Dr. Becker, but will bill BC/BS under Carfora (practice owner.) I'm pretty sure Carfora is on the list!
And I think the office is technically in Commack.
eta: yep, they accept BC/BS. And the address is 353 Vets Hwy, Commack. (Rear of the building)

I have one in Nassau if you want. Also you may want to try some of the walk in places. I call them doc in the box. They may not be all personal and warm and fuzzy but when you are sick, they do the job. I hope you feel better soon!

You can try Dr. Friedman in Commack. You don't need an appointment, but its not the typical walk-in place because he is the only Dr. there.
