Need rehersal dinner location recommendations

Alright ladies....once again I'm depending on your expert opinions and advice for a slight dilemma.......I have NO idea of what kind of restaurants are in/around the area of Land's End!! Since we're not from LI--we're completely clueless about restaurants and unlike NYC, there isn't an online Zagat survey for every restaurant in the area.

Need a decent restaurant --casual, yet elegant for a Saturday night rehersal dinner. Looking to spend no more than $30/pp...not sure of the type of food (we'd love a seafood/steak or italian place, but not sure if they would be able to provide within the budget).

We're willing to travel up to 20 miles or so from Sayville/Ronkongoma....but don't really want to go much further than that.

So, any help ya'll can provide would be GREATLY appreciated!! TIA!!!

Hey,
Here are some of the places I came up with when researching the same thing. They are in the Pt. Jeff/Setauket area.
- Mario's, East Setauket
- Pasta Past, Pt. Jefferson
- Bliss- Setauket

Don't know if they are in the area you are looking for but if you need numbers and contact people, FM me.

In St. James on Jericho Tpke is the place we had our RD- Orlando's II. I think it was around $25-27 including beer, wine & soda. VERY nice place, awesome service and delicious food!!!

I see that these guys are on the north shore---where as Land's End is on the south shore---on a Saturday evening, is it difficult to travel from one side to the other with traffic, or is it pretty clear? If it's clear, then it sound perfect...not too far away.

I also heard sonoma grill is really good. It's on Sunrise Hwy near Holbrook I think. It's one of my mom's favorite restaurants. Not sure of prices, though.

Oooh...even closer. I can call about prices at all these places....and we're visiting on the 15th and 16th, so we'll be able to taste-test the food at a few restaurants while we're out there.

Wow--these places look great too!! Think I'm a tad hungry!!

Mario's prices are perfect and the food looks great!!

Pasta Pasta is a bit too expensive, but I may be able to bargain a bit.

Bliss is probably way too expensive with beer and wine added in....although, maybe we could just buy bottles of wine for the table???

I'm going to be really fat by the time we leave after our LI weekend!!!

Thanks again ladies!!!

I have a contact guy for Bliss, his name is Ron. He gave us a special deal because we were recommended by Pasta Pasta (they were booked) Maybe you can say the same thing to get the deal
