I don't know about sandcastle but its supposed to be really nice now that they re-did it.

My FH's friend's sister just booked there.
Stewart Manor CC, i went there for my Sr. Dinner and i believe it was good. Don't remember much.

i feel your pain.
FH and i are down to our final two.

we saw the metropolitan and decided it wasnt for us.
we are having the ceremony at the same location as the reception and felt it wouldnt work.
plus we werent a fan of the restrooms. we have some big people coming and they would not like it.lol

Fh and i liked chateau briand but he is not a fan of the smaller reception room.

grrrrrrrrr

the smaller room with the floor that comes up? that is kinda of a cool entrance. but i have issues with low cielings.

we are getting married at a church, so metropolitan space isnt a concern. although i never considered if the bathrooms were small.....hmm...thanks

the only one i saw was sandcastle... and this is what i thought.....

On first impression on the outside, i wasnt a big fan of that grey castle like gargoyle fountain, but it was really pretty once we walked in.... Again, i didnt like the knights set up all around (i mean i get thats its a castle, just wasnt particularly fond of them).... LOVED the cocktail room (although i did kinda feel that bc its the newest renovated room it didnt really match the rest of the rooms) and i thought the 'lounge' was really nice and convenient. The ballroom was beautiful and i loved loved loved the high ceilings!!!! When we sat down to discuss price i was absolutely SHOCKED! i mean i know they are doing one event a time now which is great, but I just think they were a tad bit overpriced JMHO, but at least they throw in a hm which makes it better (even though they own that too and doesnt cost them much lol) but at the same time we didnt care for the hm cuz we're both greek and have been there a gillion times so that didnt really sweeten the deal for us.

Overall... i liked the place, liked that it was one wedding at a time, but wasnt too happy with the price we got

HTH sorry its long!

i cant remember the name of the room. it has two bars. one on each side of the room.

what time are looking to start?
i heard chateau briand outdoor area is awesome.
we didn't check it out. it was way to cold the night we went. lol

i know the metropolitan is doing some work.
i think she said something about the cocktail room.
oh and they are getting rid of the bar on the dance floor. that was one of favorite things about the place.

i wish both places had better pictures on there sites

probably starting around 6-630. yeah i liked hearing about the garden room renovations at metropolitan. i do love their current bar, but being able to add more tables downstairs is good too
