I agree with what all the other ladies said here. Its obviously very important for your FH to wear his dad's ring; it will make him feel closer to his father when he can't be with him. I do understand your feelings as well. A thought that came to my mind was that maybe you could have the ring melted down and then reset in a new style. That way, your Fh would still have his dad with him, but it would also be unique to your wedding. Just a suggestion. I don't think you should argue too much though. Like someone else said, in the end a ring is just a thing. Your marriage will be the same even if you had no rings.
