So I got married at Fox Hollow and they did an absolute amazing job for my day. From that friday when I checked in and until sunday morning when we left for our honeymoon.
there was one small mishap though. Right before our ceremony we were doing pictures in the studio and DH and I were pulled out by one of banquet managers. We were told that they had a flood in the basement and all of our cookie favors were destroyed :( (we did donation favors as well which were fine) The cookies that I had made up we going to be placed at the exit table for our guests to take on the way out. He apologized and had a bakery make up some cookie favors to go with our color scheme etc. They showed me the cookies when they arrived which were honestly quiet ugly....I didn't even want to take the extra ones home.so my question is do I just let this slide since they tried to fix the error or do I maybe kindly call to voice my opinion. I spent $150 on these beautiful cookies and they just never got to be displayed.......Other than that, my day was perfect!!! LOL. Things could have been worse like a blizzard LOL

hmm. i think it's nice that they tried to rectify the situation, even if the cookies were ugly. i think the proper time to do something would have been at the wedding. maybe they could have thrown something in that day. but i don't know if i'd do anything about it now.

Re: need some advice
I think you should email them if it is really bothering you.
Personally I would let it go... It sucks they had a flood but they did try to do some sort of last min. replacement. If you LOVED everything about your wedding and the service/staff treated you and your guests well.. I say let it go At least they tried!

If it makes you feel better, be professional and say something to get it off your chest.

Well if you call, what exactly are you looking to get out of it? It was a flood - aka natural disaster. They can't be held responsible for that. And they DID try to rectify it, which they didn't have to.
In the grand scheme of things $150 isn't that much...and it was something that was pretty much out of their control anyway.

You probably should have said something the day of but of course you didn't think of it. If it makes you feel better, call them to let them know how you felt and maybe they'll do something to acconmodate you.

I would let it go. They tried to fix the problem even if the cookies they got were ugly. I think if you really hated them you should have said something that day. I'm glad you had a great day despite the cookie situation.

Honestly, I would let it go. While its not ideal they did try and do the right the thing.
Really it could have been so much worse and $150 really isn't that much in the grand scheme of the entire wedding.

I think they should still compensate you for the money that you paid for them , maybe send them a copy of the recipt.
