Need some advise

Need some advise

As I have posted before, we are having a winter in NY theme for our wedding and I am having the tables named after famous streets in NY. I am having street signs made, and have found out that to make then with a navy background with white lettering (was looking or an older time look, I know they are usually green, plus our colors our navy w/white), they would need to be done at a printer for a much higher price.
I was thinking maybe we could do a white background with navy lettering and a navy border. What does everyone think about that. Do you think that would look alright or kind of cheesy? Any input would be great, and if anyone has any other suggestions, please share !!

I think doing it that way would be fine. As long as the lettering is big enough so people can find their tables, I wouldn't worry about it.
Great idea by the way.

That sounds perfectly fine to me. I think it will look nice that way and I have also seen some old time signs with white background and navy lettering.
What streets did you decide to use?

Re: Need some advise

Thanks everyone ofr the support. I feel much better going this route now. The streets we decided to use are: Broadway, 5th, Park, Wall, Bleecker, Riverside, Canal, Delancey, Lexington, Madison, Ave of the Americas, Central Park West, Sutton, Fulton, Greenwich, Columbus, Mulberry. We are also using St. Marks, which is my fiances name. I think his family will get a kick out of that one, will use that for our table..
