Need some favor help

So we were thinking about giving everyone 1/4 pound of coffee beans from this little cafe we go to every morning in New Haven. It really is the best coffee in the world, I am absolutely obessesed with this coffee.

Anyway, we thought it would be cute to give everyone some of it and have a card saying something like 'a little piece of CT to your home'

So here's the problem....what on earth do I put it in?? I'm afraid that a bag will just release the aroma and my room will smell like a big pot of coffee. Maybe set up a favor table outside the room?? Or at the back of the room?

What do you all think?? TIA!!

What about little coffee mugs? If you can get them for a decent price.

I don't know if you like this thought or if this item even EXISTS somewhere, but it might be worth a shot.

What if you found minature 'travel coffee mugs' and had something special written on the outside of them? Or tied a ribbon around it that matches your colors just to dress it up? Then put tthe coffee beans inside, and maybe the closed lid would prevent the aroma from seeping. Or you could put the bag of beans in the coffee mug.

Try putting 'minature travel coffee mugs' in search on ebay... it seems there might be some things popping up. If not, I'm sure they must exist SOMEWHERE.

my first thought was a mini coffee can. however i googled it & couldn't find anything but maybe you will have better luck.

i dont think they will smell up the whole room! even if you keep them in a big plastic storage box until the point when you set them up on a table it wont smell that bad

(actually it will smell good especially at the end of the night during dessert when everyone's drinking coffee)

maybe you can put them in the special plastic bags sealed . attach a cute little spoon and a ribbon.

you could have the rh set the coffee bags up later in the evening so they aren't sitting out all night...like on a side table or something

I was going to suggest favor tins too.... or a little espresso mug, filled with the beans and wrapped in cellophane, sealed tightly with a rubber band and the rubber band covered with a pretty ribbon, the smell should escape the bags that way.

what about just keeping it in the bag, and putting the bag in a coffee mug and that wrapping the entire thing in clear wrap? like a clear bag or something

the only thing with mugs is, i would only be able to afford cheap mugs like .50cents each and i thought it might look cheap....but thanks for the suggestion!
