Need some feedback!!

So FH and I are planning to pay for everything. So are debating whether or not to have an enagement party. However, if we do decide to have one, we are looking to keep it low budget, under $4000. Now if we do decide to have one, I would like it in June...would that be too late to send out invitations? We would have about 60-75 people. And if you know of any places in the Nassau only for something that is within our budget.

I would have liked the backyard idea, but unforuntately we can't hold 75 people in the backyard.

You still have plenty of time to send out invites for the party and I think that you can keep it low key and under $4k.

It's not too late to send out eparty invites for June. I would try a KC or VF like another poster suggested.

We had a backyard e-party, so obviously this isn't an option for you like you said, but for 75 people, it cost us around $4000 I believe. My dad said if he had to do it over, he would have just done it at a hall or restaurant b/c it would have cost the same and been a whole lot less work which is why even though I asked them to do a backyard shower to keep costs down, they decided to do it at a hall (plus they surprised me, had it in November, 11 months before the wedding, because I live out of state and would be traveling the east coast for the next 8 months for internships to complete my final/clinical year for my doctorate.

There is a nice K of C in Seaford that we had an anniversary party for my parents at. I believe our package was $35 pp including alcohol, but that was a couple of years ago. Maybe check them out?

I am going to try all these options if we decided to have one. I am really debating it. Part of me says yes, go celebrate, and the other part says be the penny pincher!! ...if only I could win lotto!! FH and I are going to decide about it tomorrow night.

FH and I decided not to have an engagement party. We are paying for the wedding and we would have to pay for the engagement party as well. So we decided to save the money. We do not regret our decision.

FH and i had our eparty last march at Chateau La Mer and they quoted us 35PP plus tax and gratuity..... i could be wrong but im almost posittive that was the price!

We are in the same boat as far as the financial obligations. I am happy that we can pay for it all, this way less hands in the pot!

I started planning my engagement party in late September for a mid november party. You are not too late at all! I did mine for 80 ppl with the same budget. I live in Suffolk and used the Pine Ridge Golf Club and they had great pricing. Maybe you have a local place that the golf club has a restaurant you can use.

Your not suposed to send invitations, engagement, bach, parties of any typre before 6 weeks so your fine! I send my invites for engagement party 6 wks and a day. Your fine! Have one
