I am getting married next Sept and at first I wanted to do a fall theme, but then I thought that was too typical. I am so depressed... everyone else seems to have great themes like fairy tale themes with little fairy girls and dust, Cinderella themes, etc. i wish I could come up with more ideas. Can you help?

Do you like anything in particular? I added a butterfly theme to mine, and readings that involve native amercian indians, beliefs my FH loves.

You have plenty of time to flesh out ideas for themes.
I am in Oct of next year.. and I'm doing the Autumn theme. I don't think anything about my wedding is typical because it's my wedding.
Don't limit yourself. Whatever moves you. I love dragons and medieval stuff but didn't have the energy to make that happen. I'm marring into a chinese family but didn't think the complete Asian thing would work. Instead I'm having aisan themed appetizers and favors.
Keep in mind 'the typical' is usually easier to find stuff for. If you're adventurous you can do anything. Massqurade (I can't spell that). Butterflies, Autumn, fairies, Just colors... you don't have to have a theme at all. Lace & Pearls, Satin & tulle. Whatever.
We can always help you if you give us an idea what stuff you like or don't like.

Oh.. by the way..
I didn't even pick autumn until I knew where my wedding would be. I know one girl who is going full out majestical because her wedding place is very elegant.

Do you have to have a theme? My wedding is in January..im just having a candleight ceremony ..thats pretty much my theme. As far as the recption there are lots of ways that we made it unique..but we dont really have a 'Theme' per say. Good luck though! Sorry Im not any help!

your theme can be anything. look online provided you have decent internet access. look at a bunch of wedding sites. they are always selling stuff. its I good idea to mabe make a theme around a product that is sold often and people tend to keep a good inventory of such as, sunflowers, butterflys, roses,dragonflys, hearts, candles. you can even theme it after a place that your going for the honeymoon. or your ethnicity lke, if you itallian make sure you have a canole cake, or if your french have the cake look like the effel tower. so many things. its just not worth getting 'depressed about' .

Maybe you can work off the colors of the hall? How you met? Where you got engaged? Movies? Maybe walk around the mall or party stores? Since this is almost the time you'd be getting married next year, check out the florist or nature.

I don't have a 'theme'....too much work, too much money...reminds me too much of bat mitzvahs and sweet 16's.....there are certain elements that I am carrying through all of the wedding.....things that mean something to us.....
