Mexico!!!!
Cancun/Playa de Carmen/Cozumel
Most of my friends have been to these areas at least once and we all agree you really get the most bang for your buck there.

We chose a cruise... At first we looked at an awesome website called VACATIONSTOGO.COM .....We found a cruise we liked and then I posted a question about it on the vendor page.. I had a few vendors look at the question and Dawn from Cruise one wrote me back a great review on the ship and the actual cruise itself... We ended up talking and she worked us out a better deal than on the website, and then sent us a bottle of wine to celebrate while we were away!! I HIGHLY recommend giving her and her husband a ring if cruising is an option for you!

If I didn't already go there, I would go back to the Royal Hideway in Mexico. It was incredible. All inclusive and all of the restaurants were great.

We LOVED the Royal Hideaway! The food, drinks, service, rooms, and relaxation were amazing!

fh and i went to couples swept away jamaica and had a great time. you could definitely go to a couples or a sandals resort for that amt of money. a cruise is also a great option.

I agree we are going on a 7 night criuse ( I would of liked longer but whatever) and it is under $2000 with airfare.

It's an adults only all inclusive. We are paying about $2800 for 7 nights.

I reccommend a cruise as well. DH and I spent our HM on the Golden Princess and had a great time. We already booked our next cruise for Oct. 2005. I believe we paid @ 1200 pp for a balcony room in the middle of the ship on the 10th floor. Airfare to San Juan on AA was @ 285 pp and our hotel for one night in the Wyndham Old San Juan was $165. We spent about $3,000 on excursions, massages, junk, etc...(stuff we could have lived without) but everything was paid in cash. I booked my cruise with a place based in Florida called Card's Cruise Travel. The rep was very helpful and also got the price pp down a few hundred dollars based on the price reductions from the cruise. They also gave us photo credits and a room credit ($100 total).

what cruise line did you go on??? was there a lot of old people or kids. I went on a cruise once and loved it but my ex-boyfriends parents paid so i Had no idea they could be so affordable! Sounds great
P.S. I have also been researching a little and saw some all inclusives in St. Thomas that were reasonable!

That's where we are going! The Jamaica airfare was pretty expensive--400 or 500 each--but not too bad!

you can definately do a week long cruise for less than 5000 call your travel agency or visit www.travelnow.com ( that is where we booked our cruise)

We went to Key West for 3 nights and Aruba for 5 nights and the total travel (not including spending $$, or daily excursions etc) was about $3K. We stayed at the Radisson in Aruba, we liked it a lot.
Loved both places, but Aruba was great to be at for your honeymoon...

in all honesty, we got back from aruba two days ago. the most amazing vacation ever. btween flights, hotel, food and sports/activities, and casino/play money, we tallied in at around $4500. and we ate at awesome places, averaging about $100 dinners, too. plus we took tours, rented a car, bought snorkeling equipment, dh went windsurfing, etc. we couldn't believe how well we made out, thinking that this vacation was going to be around 6K. not like we have that money to play with, but for a once in a lifetime trip, we were prepared for that. so for 8 days, 7 nights in a really really nice hotel, we were happy with the $$$.
