Hi there! I live in NY and am looking for a place to have my wedding (next June). I recently got into the idea of having a weekend wedding at a bed and breakfast. I have been looking in the Hudson valley and Long Island but it's all so much and I thought someone might be able to give me some suggestions. My ideal wedding venue would have nice gardens, waterfalls and ideally be on the water. Does anyone have any suggestions on bed and breakfasts or even a regular reception site? Thanks so much for any help! Lisa

What about the Watermill or the Swan Club. How far east are you willing to go? Both those places have really nice gardens and fountains, waterfalls and they are reasonably priced. Good luck!

Chateau La Mer is on the Great South Bay. Lands End is right on the ocean... There are a few others also! As for a Bed and Breakfast, I have no idea.
Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the boards!

Well if you are looking for gardens I was going to say Majestic Gardens. If you are looking for water, Lands End is Sayville is so nice. Bed & Breakfasts....you should check out east and you'll find some great ones.
Good Luck!

The southampton Inn is very nice (not sure how much you are looking to spend) It is a B&B right in southampton village. It does not have waterfalls, but it does have nice gardens and it is close to the beach.

I would have to agree with the Swan Club . Congrats and welcome to the boards!
Try this website. There is a place, Antun's in Westchester. It's beautiful. You may be able to find a place nearby (and the hall itself is not that expensive). HTH

If you are still inot the B and B thing, I would check out:
www.northforkweddings.com
and
www.southforkweddings.com
There are some very detailed descriptions of B and B's who do weddings, as well as other venues at the tip of LI.
Good luck!

Re: Need some ideas
I just went to a wedding at the James Lane Cafe in Southhampton. Its a B&B. Good for smaller weddings. I dont know how many guests you plan on, but I would say no more than 110 for this place. There is a lake across the street and so many gorgeous places to take pictures only a few minutes away. The food was great also.
