Need some ideas... gift for engagement party.
Hello all! Newlywed here, needing some help.I was invited to an engagement party and I need an idea for a good gift. It's for my second cousin who I have never met. I want to spend about $30.
What were some of the gifts you received that you thought were great?
Thanks
Deb

Perfect gift idea- a nice new address book that she can use to fill in with her guests info. If you know a lot of the address you can fill it in for her. I sent on to my SIL when she got engaged and she was thrilled that I saved her the trouble of searching for addresses.

I know a lot of people who registered before their engagement party. Is there anything on their registry worth $30???I received a beautiful Lenox pic frame and a crystal heart vase as my two favorite engagement gifts! You can probably find a nice Lenox frame for about that much or even a lenox vase. Macy's ALWAYS seems to have Lenox items on sale!

Thanks guys but they live in the midwest and I have no idea if they are registered. I have never met him and have only seen his mother(my cousin) twice in 20 years(both funerals).Any other ideas?

I got the most adorable gift at my e-party that is in that range. Crate and Barrel has these really really cute ceramic popcorn bowls. I got one large one, and two small individual sized bowls. Really fun for parties or for two people to share in front of a good DVD!Crate and Barrel also has these really cute party plates. Ceramic dishes that spell out the word 'Party'. I love this stuff as engagement gifts, it's things that they wouldn't always buy for themselves, but will use!!

Wedding planning books and keepsakes are great. She has a long road ahead of her as we all know

I would check http://www.weddingchannel.com for their registry, since it covers a ton of stores nationwide. If that doesn't work, a fun engagement gift I got was a pizza making kit - complete with cookbook, pan, garlic press, slicer, cheese grater, and a CD they burned with Italian/Pizza related songs.

I got monogramed napkins from Pottery Barn. The other thing that was really helpful was a Brides Guide to Thank you's book.Welcome New Vendors
