Does anyone know of any good Band/DJ combos? And if you know what they usually run for the 5 hrs (cocktail/reception) my fiance just freaked out when I told him how much bands can run for. So he thought we could maybe compromise and have a little bit of both. But we're not sure if it would be more expensive to do the combo either

that place is beautiful!! I went to HS with the sons of the family that own the place....they are so awesome!!

I saw Starlight Express at a bridal show somewhere last year and tehy were great! I don't know about prices but they are definitely someone you should call.

Bravura does the band/dj combo thing. Their prices are pretty reasonable (comparitively speaking of course) and they definately have five hour packages.

I have a suggestion. Did you go see Bravura (Bravuraentertainment.com). They are in Woodbury. They are a DJ company with instrumental accompaniment .. for example I have a piano player/singer at the cocktail hour (they also have other options like steel drum band) and along with the DJ & MC I have a percussionist and male vocalist/keyboard player. You sort of get the best of both worlds
