Need Some Suggestions Please!

My best friend and I have known each other for what amounts to our whole lives. Our parents were friends, my sister was her babysitter, our brothers were best friends...

She is my MOH and I will be giving her a Tiffany Bracelet and having it engraved 'Even Longer' (remember when Piglet asked Pooh 'Will we be friends forever?' and Pooh said 'Even Longer' - that's why).

I ALSO want to make her a scrapbook of all of our years together as friends. NOW HERE IS THE CHALLENGE.

I am bad with pictures. I have VERY few. She is the picture keeper. She has TONS. I can't steal them. I can't ask her husband to sneak them to me because he has a HUGE mouth. I would like to borrow them from her... but she WILL ask why and what I am doing with them and blah blah blah. She will also want them back - quickly.

I want the scrapbook to be a suprise. I am a horrible liar and she knows me well enough to see RIGHT THROUGH ME. SO... any suggestions on how I might get some pictures from her without blowing up my own spot?

the 'dj' thing is a good idea. this way, you can blame the dj for not giving them back to her RIGHT AWAY. it will buy you some time.

the only other thing that comes to mind is this: does she have kids you can babysit? is there any reason you would be in her home without her there? maybe while she's out, you can scan or 'borrow' the pictures.

Tell her you've finally decided that you want some copies for yourself. Then take the pictures you want to CVS or somewhere and make copies for you to use in the scrapbook.

Then she'll get her pictures back quickly, and you'll get the pictures for the scrapbook.
