My little bro is coming to visit and he is being a pain in the *** so we can't do something in manhatten.....

I am so jealous that I have other things to do...why didnt I do this when it was raining the other day!

Newsday has a lot of to do things whether is be a comedy show, sports,fesitival, etc.

he loves outdoors things - we were supposed to go to the NY botantical gardens but he has just now gotten on a train and he says he has a huge bag. So he has to come to my apt in queens to leave his bag.

So I don't feel like going into the city since he wont be here until like 2 pm.

Thinking of something outside that is maybe less than an hour from here (I live in Forest Hills)

I took my little brother to the bronx zoo on wednesday and we had the BEST time!!! it waas so much fun! maybe try that?

where are you going on the island. A lot of the parks have kayak and canoe rentals. canoes are pretty easy to use but they tip easily.

oh i live there too...well for restaurants definitely try austin street...inexpensive but DELICIOUS is 5 burros-mexican food...its very laid back and they have a bar too.

The beer garden in astoria, its all outside with benches just like oktoberfest.

There is forest park but not sure exactly what you can do there

Or maybe go to the museum of moving image-its some film/studio museum in astoria...also MOMA was temporarily by astoria more closer to LIC, they had this real cool outdoor area with art-maybe see if something is going on tonight or if its still going on

You can also go the driving range and batting cages at Randall's Island, then go have beers at the Beer Garden.

I already asked mine, how funny. We both get out early today too, well 3:30 and I'm way downtown, so we might be able to get there early enough to score a table. He said he's going to see how he feels when we get home. I hope he feels like it.

he gets out early but today he has a doc appt at 4...and i dont get home until either 5:30 or 6:30 depending if i miss the 5:04 train out of penn station lol. He mentioned going one time so i hope he'll be in the mood today or even that i will be after i get home

yeah, the trip home can ALWAYS flip your mood, especially when it involves public transportation. So many times I'm fired up for something when I leave work, and by the time I get home I'm in such a foul mood, it s u c k s.
