Ok here is the first stab at it - basically I want it to be a lighter ivory, not quite as gold. We are trying to decide which font and letter color to use. I can't decide between the script font or the font our names are in. And I want the font to be a very dark blue.
Thoughts, advice, suggestions all welcome! This is the very first draft!

I think it looks great! I like the idea of having the print font for most of the STD and then having your names in the script!

very simple ad elegants design but i just feel like there a little too much going on between fonts styles and sizing etc. it ends up taking away from the simplicity and makes it look busy....
if it was me i would our names in script and the rest in print

oh i know it looks weird now - its because my designer was trying to show me how different fonts/colors would look. in the final product it will be MUCH more uniform.
the print idea with names in script is a great one!! what about font color, which one of those do you ladies like?

I like the color your names are in.
I like the print for all words other than your names in a script.
I am not a fan of the last line. Formal invitation and hotel info to follow. I would just say Formal invitation to follow normally the hotel info is in there anyway so no need to single it out IMO.
Also is the apostrophe in 'Can't' backwards? That was the first thing that caught my eye

also some are in capital letters like 'Celebrate' on the top line, when the rest is lower case

You guys are right the apostraphe is backwards! And the weird capitals is something I noticed too!
Also my mom insists on including hotel info to follow in there!

Then personally I would still leave it off but put the hotel info card in the envelope with the STD.... bc then it isn't 'to follow' they will have it already.
That's just me though

I like the font color of the last line. I like navy or midnight blue. I think it looks the most traditional, elegant, and classy. Also-I would put everything in print except names.

I like the colors. IMO, I would either use 'We are excited to celebrate or save the date' Using both seems redundant. I would also put your names in script.

what if the top line read 'We can't wait to celebrate... Please Save the Date!'
I like the dark navy color that is in the 'formal invitation to follow' or the black.
Also, I agree with the pp about including the hotel information with the STD, (so i'd wait to send out the STD if the hotel block isnt finalized) that way you do not end up having to track down all your guests to let them know.
