Need suggestions: Nice Restaurants

Hi girls,

I figured I would ask you all for some suggestions and help.

Today is my bday, and FH said that he wants to take me out Saturday night to a nice restaurant but that I would have to pick..

Problem is, we are not restaurant people at all.. i don't know where on LI is good and I usually go to the same places... (like chain restaurants LOL)...

I would prefer a place where i can opt for something healthier (like grilled chicken, also i am a big fan of Seafood)... but not a complete seafood restaurant b/c FH hates it.. so maybe italian??

If anyone has any suggestions of good places you've been to, preferably in Nassau county or western Suffolk, please let me know!

TIA!

catfish max in seaford is AWESOME!!

it is in a residential area and the place is small (kinda looks like a dive on the outside but the inside dining room is cute and the food is really good!!)

there is also piccola bussola in woodbury?? its a family style italian restuarant with good italian food.

Re: Need suggestions: Nice Restaurants

its down by the marina, south of merrick road.

Turn south of merrick by the police station and go as if you were going to white whale...then make a left to go towards the marina...The street thats right by the entrance to the marina make a left (i think there is also a bar on that corner)...go all the way down to the end and its all the way down there right on the water....

They have really good seafood...the tuna is always fresh and its to die for!!

My best friends family owns that place! Catfish max is great! Its a cute little place, very relaxed, and pretty cheap.

Re: Need suggestions: Nice Restaurants

i'm thinking it must be, because stillwaters is all the way down on the same block as the blue whale, but that is where we usually stop at because we know the bartenders, i haven't travelled further down
