so i went to get a physical today for school and found out that i need to have surgery im so mad! i have whats called a pieinidal (cant spell) cyst its on the end of the tailbone and if left it can pop and get infected so to avoid all of that i can get surgery with a 1-2 week recovery which sounds GREAT to me id rather have the surgery. but now with school i dont have any time off! so i dont know what to do! i found it a while ago but it never caused any pain and now it does im so f-ing pissed it had to wait till school started!

awww sorry.. but you gotta get it done.. if it gets infected you will have way bigger probs!! Just think 1-2 weeks and you won't have to worry about it again!!! Good Luck!!!

That is horrible ...i mean what are you supposed to do not do the surgery...What if you make up the work or something, do something for extra credit...I would talk to others in the school, sometimes it can help

yeah i woudl get teh procedure done asap....
better now then when its too late... and if you tell your professors they can excuse you for a valid medical.. i mean for god sakes you are in nurse school...

thanks girls im going to chat with them on monday and see what i can do i supposidly have a vacation sometime in july or august.. so maybe i can get it done then! that way i really wont miss anything. i have 10 days in april but i dont think i can get a consult and schedule the surgery that fast! that would be AWEOSME!

thanks kim, my dad had it] too!! this thing is very hereditary (thanks DAD)and its soooo disgusting! when my dad got it done they just cut him open got all the crap out and left the open hole so it didnt get infected. but they dont do that any more thnk god unless its already infected before hand!
