it was nice to have some piece of mind and take a small hiatus from planning, my planning becomes obsessive, im planning in my dreams. ugh.
so far ive only booked RH, Photog, M/U
i really need to get my butt in gear but i hate to get that obsessive feeling.

You have soooo much time! Take your time and don't feel like you have to rush anything. You have 1 1/2! I'm doing everything in 8 months. Try not to stress or let the planning take over. Make a timeline and checklist and go from there.

I agree planning does start to take over everything. I have been engaged for two months and it is all I can think about. My FH think I am crazy and does not want to plan anything which stresses me out becuase I feel like everyone has already booked all vendors. He does have a point that we have a 1year and 1/2 until our wedding but I would just like to get everything book ,where he wants to enjoy our engagment and not have the wedding take over our lives for the next year I just hope all the good vendors arent gone by the time that he want to start making appointments.

They won't be! I got all the vendors I wanted and we wil only have 8 months total of being engaged. I got everyone I wanted so far and booked all major vendors in the past 2 months. Enjoy your engagement too! Dont feel like you have to book everything now..you really do have time!! :

sometimes i feel like this site stresses me out bc you see everyone booking things and you feel like 'omg I'm the only one not doing anything!' Its not true, we really do have time. Enjoy your engagement - this is the only time in your life you'll be engaged and its so fun!
I can't say that I can't relate to you girls tho - sometimes I feel like OMG I have to get on the ball (with certain popular vendors) but just take advantage of the time we have to research and not rush into any decisions. I go back and forth, but always remind myself of how long I really do have to plan. I don't want to have any regrets, so I try to do as much research as possible
