Need to Lose!!

Hey, I am a current WW person, so I just wanted to say that I agree with everything Sabellabride12 said about the program. I really am preach-y about it because I am amazed that I have lost this much weight, and that I have stuck to it for 6 months to be quite honest! Feel free to FM me anytime if you need anything!

Need to Lose!!

Hi Everyone! I haven't read all the posts, but even after reading the first few, my recommendation is DEFINITELY Weight Watchers. I have been on and off the program (and now actually work for them) and have lost a total of 90 lbs! I am aiming for 10 more lbs before my wedding day in 554 days! It truly is a great program. You eat whatever you want, just have to be accountable, and be open and willing to trying new things! Good luck everyone!!! I am always open to any questions! So feel free to ask away!

Need to Lose!!

I feel the same way! I used play a lot of sports so even though I still work out, my muscle is not what it used to be. I'm hoping to lose about 15 lbs.

I just ordered the Insanity workout DVDs and I'm supposed to get them tomorow. I heard it's really hard but the results are amazing. I'll let you know how it works out!

I have started using myfitnesspal and entering my food so I can stay within my 1200 daily calorie range. I just feel like I need instant results because i lack patience.. I gota just stick with it!

If you have the time do Weight Watchers and try to get your heart rate up a few days a week. IMO it's the best and most healthy diet.

Also, I have to say that 1200 is a very very low calorie intake for any adult. I think this is below the recommended minimum for any adult. At only 1200 calories a day you may even put your body into starvation mode / shock which would actaully prevent you from losing weight because your body slows down its metabolism (stops burning fat cells) because it thinks you are starving. Just something to look into. It just does not sound right to me.

Need to Lose!!

Weight Watchers! I've been doing it off and on for years. If I'm not an active member, I still count my points like they taught me. I've lost and kept off over 30 pounds. If anyone is interested in joining them, they are currently have a promotion for 50% off the monthly pass rate for your first month.

I think it depends on body mass and body fat. I was seeing a nutritionist a few years ago and he put me on a 1100 calorie a day diet. I was eating all day long, but mostly veggies. Occasional lean meats and complex carbs. I lost a lot of weight on it, but I couldn't maintain it. I ended up gaining all my weight back. Just be careful. Even if it is 'healthy' - if you make too many changes too quickly, it's a lot harder to maintain.
