no something ELSE i need to invest in... we also dont have a door on the upstairs just yet.. its a strange shaped openeing so were going to have to look aroudn.. then YES it will have a lock on it.. FH hasnt moved in yet and wont untill there is a locked door to the upstairs!

i think the most annoying part of an attic apt is the DOORS - we have to get a custom shower door which is going to be $$$$ bc of the peak!
anyway once you lock the door thats the most important thing - FH and I realized that people would have a hard time realizing it was no longer just the 'upstairs' but a seperate living area. . . not even my parents bc i think they will respect FH's privacy if not mine. . . but just my relatives at holidays and stuff will probably think its okay to just go up there with out us. . . i sound mean right now - i dont want to be a hermit i hope you know what i am trying to say lol . . .anyway our door will be locked no matter if we are up there or downstairs so if someone wants to come in they have to knock like they would if we really did have our own apt!
