Need to Vent bout the Priest

Sorry ladies--I never vent but need to---- My priest called us about a week ago and said he has a conference and wont be here for the wedding. WHATTTTT He asked if we could change the date. Come on now it's 2 months away. I was flipping out. My FH was calm and spoke to him, but as of now with 2 months left we don't know who will marry us. The priest said he will figure it out. How crazy!!!!!

I cannot believe he actually thought to ask you to change the date!

Is there only one priest in the church? What about a Deacon?

Would you be able to switch churches possibly? The 2nd is a Thursday, so I'm sure there are plenty available that will be able to accommodate you if need be!

Everyone will be at this conference and it's in Texas. The thing is he knew about the date a year ago and never said anything. I can't go to a different church cause I am converting and my FH is Indian and is a prodesant (which is a very small population)
