Need to VENT -- wedding stress is finally hitting me!!
I don't know why I thought that I wouldn't get stressed planning my wedding. I guess because I'm an organizing freak and I love planning, I thought it would be pretty stress-free for me.
Boy, was I wrong!! I guess maybe because I'm stressed about not having found my dress yet, I'm over-sensitive to any little thing. Anyone's comments about the wedding make me second guess myself and stress over it.
MOH told me she thought my BP was too big and that I was crazy for having such a large BP and now I'm stressing that, on top not having found my dress yet, on top of not having the BMs gowns yet, not to mention the fact that none of them are being very helpful -- if anything they are causing me more stress!!!
Oh yeah, and add to that the fact that I have almost no time to get any wedding stuff done between work, going to the gym, and all these 'favors' people keep asking of me!!! Shouldn't they be offering to help -- not making my life even busier!????!!
I think I'm just not going to talk to ANYONE about the wedding anymore! I swear, I am not answering my cell phone for at least a month and changing my outgoing message to say 'If you are calling to ASK ME TO DO YOU A FAVOR -- DON'T BOTHER LEAVING A MESSAGE!!!' I don't even have time for myself, much less time to FAVORS for OTHER PEOPLE!!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!
Now I understand why some brides become bridezillas when planning their weddings!!!!!
Anyone else? Thanks for letting me vent.

OH HELL YEAH! I just started looking at cateringhalls and making guest lists for our engagement party and the wedding itself and it has been nothing but what this person wants and what that person wants and this person said this place was awful and they had a better time at this place and if you pick this date, then no one will come... I wish everyone would just shut up and let me do what I want. It's MY WEDDING!!!!!!!!

would you relax about your dress!!?!?! you'll be fine! did you not read anything i wrote you in that FM a while ago?? you really are okay with time! vent away! i can't help you with the BP vents...i have an extremely large one as well. half of them could give a S*it about it... oh well.

I am here if you need to talk - I defintly know about the stress.. I am planning a wedding and a first birthday and I like all this stuff I cant afford. I dont even know how we are going to pay for all this stuff.... and my FMIL heard I went to the bridal expo on sunday and shes like she has a whole year is she crazy? why is she going so early?!? and when I told her I was gunna start looking at dresses she laughed in my face and said isnt it a little too soon?!?! And she refuses to go dress shopping for her.. I dont know what shes waiting for.. probably the weekend before the wedding!!

I hear you about the BM. Who would have ever thought they would turn out to be such brats. Absolutely no help, just making matters worse.

were all in that boat.. mine arent too bad.. they get into helpful spats and then ones when they dont do anything but aggrivate you.. My MOH when I was considering getting married at a church instead of a hall actually told me eww why would you do that? churches creep me out. Then she told me that a band is sooo much better then a dj.. after I already told her I cant afford a band thats why we are using a dj.. thanx for making me feel better!! And then when I was looking at invitations shes like why do you care so much? its an invitation? who cares the first one u see that you like just get it.. stop shopping around for everything?!?! WTF?!?

i know how overwhelming it can be.... sometimes it seems like there isnt enough time to do everything. Maybe you can go dress shopping and have your bm and moh go and find the bp dresses while your out there.. i always thought it was nice having a large bridal party...

Just take a deep breath... Everything is going to be fine. I'm getting married the same day as you and I don't have my dress, or my BM dresses yet either. The planning process can be a real pain in the ass, but it can also be a lot of fun. Why don't you try focusing on something you'll enjoy right now, like visiting florists or buying favors. From what I read on other people's posts, I know it seems like you're behind, I feel that way too sometimes, but there's still a lot of time. As far as people asking you for favors when you're the one who needs help, JUST SAY NO! Be honest with people and tell them you would love to help out but you have enough on your plate. They should (should being the key word) be able to understand that. People may not even know how stressed you, once they realize that your having a tough time, I'm sure they'll offer to help. If not, at least you have us to vent to! lol!

I started planning my wedding in Oct, and I am getting married in Feb..
You have plenty of time..
I agree with you though, I am sick of this whole wedding planning ....bring on the wedding,...let me live married life already !!
