I'm having my first fitting this wednesday (they think my wedding is still in July and I decided not to correct them ) and I need to buy underwear asap! I have smallish boobs and I want something that'll make my boobs look as big as possible and that will suck my waist in! Any recommendations? Can you recommend any good undergarment places also? Somewhere that would let you try on the corsets, waist cinchers, etc? TIA!

Re: Need undergarment advice!
it might be a good idea to wait a little on your first fitting, its still pretty early
i just had mine thursday and THAT is early but i have no choice since i wont be in ny all of july until the week before the wedding
i dont know about corsets, but if you have them put cups in (even 2 sets) that helps with the boobs!

You mean put the first fitting off, or do you mean wait until after the first fitting to get the underwear..I don't want to tell them my new date because I don't trust them as far as reliability and I don't want to be freaking out right before the wedding if they screw something up...I want to have time to be able to order another dress or fix my dress if it becomes necessary...:sigh: my dress has become such a nightmare

I know this place in brooklyn.....I'm getting a corset type thing (pic included). I suggest you wait for the fitting also.....I lost so much weight and my boob size changed....so if you gain or lose weight before your wedding the undergarmet you purchase now will be useless.
I've heard blums in patchogue is supposed to be great! I'm going to try there

:sigh: that's a good point....but i'm scared to wait til the last minute I doubt i'll lose weight though...I tend to stay at the same weight give or take 2 or 3 pounds..

I got mine at macys, it is slimming but doesnt do a whole lot for my boobs. You can always have your seamstress sew something extra in there!

Are they doing the alterations? If not then you can take the dress home and take it to another seamstress to do the alterations and the adjustments.

tell them a date thats 2 weeks earlier than your real date..thats what i did, just in case..and i don't think your weight would fluctuate that much during that time period anyway

And this is also a wonderful idea! I actually wanted to have the dress at my house sooner than later because my mother and fmil volunteered to make a new train for my dress over the summer (because the one I have now doesn't go with it at all as you already know!)

Re: Need undergarment advice!
I got my undergarment from Sweet Lace Lingerie in Bellmore They were very helpful but it is a small 'Mom and Pop' type of store (so cute though). Give it a try!

I went to blums in patchogue! I got a corset thing that they are sewing half pads into ...it makes my boobs and waist look amazing!! Its kinda sexy also because it had the stocking connector things
