NEED verizon help!! from whoever works there or knows

but this morning I was told to hit *87 so I dr could get thru from home to turn off my anonymous call rejection.....


WHAT do I hit to turn it back on???I called verizon at 550 they kept me on hold over 16 minutes then Someone picked up and hung up! and then..... I called back and the office is closed

the man did pick up and he kept saying hello like he couldnt hear me but I heard him, it was strange.... I think he just wanted to go home

To activate Anonymous Call Rejection:

You must activate Anonymous Call Rejection for the service to begin. Check periodically that it is still active and has not been turned off.

Dial (or 1177 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones).


You will hear a confirmation announcement that Anonymous Call Rejection is activated.


Anonymous Call Rejection will remain on until you turn it off.

To deactivate Anonymous Call Rejection:


Press (or 1187 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones).


You will hear a confirmation announcement that Anonymous Call Rejection is deactivated.


When Anonymous Call Rejection is off, all calls will reach you.

Glad it worked. I just saw this post. I work in technician dispatch though so I wouldn't have known that.

What exactly does Anonymous Call Rejection do?

It allows all those
Private callers or no caller ID if you have caller ID
they have to hit *82 so their name/number is displayed, this way you dont have to pick up the phone for example if people like slomins or other solicitors keep calling
