Hello I need help! I stumbled upon the possible dress yesterday! These are both by Casablanca and their prices seem to good to be true... I'm waiting for the catch. Has anyone heard of Casablanca dresses? I'm torn between these two designs. I was orginally leaning towards a Paula Varsalona dress, which would be a little over $2. Each Casablanca would be about $700 with alterations. Its a big difference!
Big Thanks
Try to ignore the models... The dresses are much nicer in person. These girls are just scary!
I personally prefer the 2nd one. Very pretty. I also found a Casablanca dress that I like too..(I have a post on that) I've heard great things about this brand...The dress I tried on was about $800 and was definitely shocked when the saleslady told me the price...thought it would be $1,000 or more.
Yeah, I'm not sure why they have their models look so freaky!
Good luck with your dress!

Re: Need Wedding Dress Help!
I had a Casablanca dress. I felt the same way when I heard the price of my dress. Quite honestly, the quality was great and the dress was sooooo comfortable (which was a big thing for me).

Re: Need Wedding Dress Help!
I like dress #2, but I'd rather have it in white rather than ivory.
I've done my research on Casablanca gowns and on other designers too.
Casablanca gowns have low prices because they are imported from Asia and the fabrics used are polyester (chiffon, organza, matte satin, etc.)
Because the details of these dresses are so exquisite (full lining, sewn-on beading, simple and flattering styles), I can see how you would think there's a 'catch' when buying these dresses. But they are totally worth it.

Re: Need Wedding Dress Help!
Thank you so much for your replies! THis makes me feel so much better about that brand! My wedding is in august, so I have to decide on a dress fast.
I went on netbride and they gave me a quote of $420 for the first one! I'm leaning towards something last poofy and the only color they had the 2nd one in was champagne. Its hard to tell when you don't see it in the color you want. But I'm really not sure. The bridal store wants $930 for the first one and 790 for the second. Its a huge savings, but I'm a little scared ordering through the internet. Have your heard if these bridal brokers are safe?
Thanks again!!!!

Re: Need Wedding Dress Help!
Hey, I just noticed that we're getting married on the same day
Netbride is reputable..a good book to get is something called 'Bridal Bargains' It's in a paperpack form (the size of a Zagat but thicker). This book listed Netbride.com and Bridesave.com as reputable...definitely will save $ on the gowns. One thing to consider is to be discreet about getting the dress online when you go to a bridal salon or other place to have alterations. They might charge you more b/c they know you ordered online...that's what the book says.
