Need your advice!!!

Need your advice!!!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this but from all of the info. I've read so far, I'm sure going to love being part of this wonderful group of brides. =)

I have a little dilemma. I'm kind of torn btwn the Swan Club, the Jericho Terrace, and the Westbury Manor. We're working off a really tight budget and these venues have given us decent quotes while for the services and wonderful place they have to offer. To give you some idea:

Swan Club - Quoted us at $75 for Friday night and $95 for Sat. night around May/June of 09. I loved the outside gardens of this place...Loved it! But the inside is not 'exceptionally elegant'.

Jericho Terrace - This place is beautiful what can I say. It gave us a quote of $80 for Friday night. I'm just worred that there will be too many parties going on at the same time.

Westbury Manor - We had to push back our requested time from May/June 09 because it was too expensive for us. They gave us a quote of $75 for March which is great but I'm worried that it would be too cold to have the cocktail hr outside. And the rooms seem to be really small.

Our party would be about 100 guests but I don't wanna be crammed in to a small room either.

Sorry that this is sooo long but any advice would be great. Thanks Gals!!!!

First let me say I have never been to ANY of these places... but my advice is with Swan Club you can do ALOT with the decor to make it elegant. Jerrico Terrace is hands down gorgeous (I have seen alot of pics of it). But if you loved Swan Club think about what you can do to dress it up a bit... JMO

I would go with Jericho Terrace. It is beautiful inside and out. I've been to several weddings there and everything was great!

ive never been to swan club or westbury manor but have heard great things about both. Can't speak from personal experience though but if you do a search you'll find tons of brides who were either married there or will get married there

I got married at JT last month and they did such an amazing job. It was on may 17th on a saturday evening and believe it or not i was the only bride there that night, even i was shocked. After i got there and bumped into some of the bm's they told me i was the only bride. There was a daytime party earlier in the evening but it wasnt a wedding so i actually had it to myself. I think a wedding was cancelled and thats why, so you never know.

I'll be getting married at Westbury Manor in May '09 - it's such a beautiful place for pictures. I know a bunch of people that went to weddings there and LOVED the food, which is the most important to me. Plus, they do the flowers for the ceremony if you are doing it there, so that's a money-saver. The people are great to deal with and so far it has been a pleasure. Good luck picking a place!

Regardless of your choice of the three locations, your day is bound to be a wonderful and memorable experience. That being said, I have been to a wedding at the WM, and it is absolutely beautiful. They have great photo spots, excellent food, and great atmosphere. They bargain too (most likely, the other places do too), so don't be sheepish to ask them what they can do for you. After a little haggling, we ended up getting $17 off per head for a Fri night wedding in June, and they threw in a few extra's too. You never know what the sales consultants are able to do, so it is always worth it to ask. Good luck to you!

I'm completely biased but i'll give my opinion anyway. I just got married at the Swan Club and loved it. Believe it or not, at night , the room is very elegant. Its so charming with the fireplace, and windows and the lights from the garden- very romantic. I think JT is absolutley gorgeous, and i have heard nothing but great things, i just didnt want to be on a main road and wanted gardens to take pictures(which didnt even end up happening due to the rain). I visited WM , although beautiful as well , just didnt think the decor was for me. Also, it depends on which room you have at the SC. We had to guarantee a 160 minimum to get our room. Good luck. I think that you will be more than happy with any of the 3!
