Need Your HELP! Wedding planner or not?!?!?

Hey Everybody! I've been working with a few wedding planners - I haven't picked one yet because I'm worried that it is a waste of money. I don't have a lot of time and it seems as if it would be great for me but every one that gives me pricing my face goes and I don't know how much it's really worth it? Anybody have any advice on this?!?!?

Maybe you can get a Day of Coordintor....most of them will still gie u tips and help along th way....My Dayf Coordinator is Lisa from Elite Affairs. She is awesome.

if you can afford it then go for it but its defnitely not a necessity.

I'm as indecisive as you. I feel like it's a waste of money, but then I fear what will happen if something goes wrong the day of. Maybe you can wait a little longer and see how much stuff the RH will take care of and decide based on that if it's worth it for a DOC.

I do not think one is needed...I feel as if it is a waste of money.

i would say it dpeends on how far along you are in the planning process, if you have most of the major vendors booked i would just go for a day of coordinator, but if youve really not done much then def get the planner especially since youd be in a time crunch

Originally I wasn't going to get one, but we ended up finding someone we really clicked with and I can honestly tell you that its the best decision I have made during this wedding planning.

I don't think a wedding planner is necessary. If you need someone to help and guide you, especially for the days leading up to the wedding day I would hire a DOC (day of coordinator).

Ditto.........though I do think it's a great way to alleviate stress on the day of. I have a friend (who is also in the business) that's going to act as my DOC.

If I had the money I would absolutely go for one...but then again I am working almost 30 hours a week, going to grad school 2 nights a week (3 next semester) and am the primary caregiver for my FSD....so I could use the extra help

I hired a DOC...that's what was in the budget.

I'm having a DOC - totally worth every penny!

I should have clarified my previous statement, we hired a DOC not a full on wedding planner, but it basically feels like she is!

Planner NO.... Most of my planning was done within a month..

DOC - its a definite possibility...
