Sooooo after staring at my hair trial pics last night......I just don't think it's me!! My FI loves my real curly hair and I think I do to.... I'm so disappointed now. Now my hair lady is going on maternity leave so I can switch ladies w/ out hurting her feelings and there was this girl who did my hair at cactus in commack when I went for an 'all day spa' treatment and she did my hair curly....just down and curly and has been the ONLY hairdresser that I have ever really liked how she's done my hair curly.....usually I just walk out of a salon with my hair wet......so I'm thinking about calling her (I hope she's still there!!!!)
So what do you ladies think......use my natural curl or go w/ Hair Tria #1?
If I use my natural curl, I'd like it to look like this pic
I think your trial pics are beautiful, but if it's not what you really want, then it wouldn't hurt to go to another stylist and see what she could do and then compare which you like better

i think you should try it both ways and then decide which one you like better - you are obviuosly not happy with teh results from your first trial. I think your hair would look great if you did it like the above picture

I just looke at albums and saw how curly your hair is... I like the NATURAL curly look on you!!!
I say natural curly look with soem flair.

I really like your trial pics too...but if it is going to be one of those things where you think all the pictures 'don't look like you' then it's definitely not what you would want for your wedding day.
I like the curly look also, it's a bit less dressy but more 'fun'....perfect if your reception is near the water or a beach theme at all

I agree - try it curly and see if you get a look you like.
You know it's a losing battle for us curly-hair women to try and keep a straight look near the beach or any place outside with humidity!

Devon your trial is great.....but I think this hairstyle you just posted is more you.
It is soo elegant, so classy, and not everyone can achieve this style. Not to mention, its natural, its your gift from god....rock those curls girlfriend.
People pay lots of money to get their hair done like that and it falls out by the end of the night, someting you don't have to worry about.
I say try a trial with the curls, JMHO

omg....if you can use your natural curl to look that photo.....your hair will be absolutely awesome and one of a kind
the girl I am using Sarah Rock from gorgeous faces and she works at the cactus salon in Commack...if you want...
she can come to you on the day of your wedding for you and your bridal party....i know she only works there three days a week so if you were to get your hair done on the day of your wedding..most likely she wont be there since she does weddings on the weekend,,,

OK I made an appointment w. the lady from Cactus for Nov. 4....funny thing is when I told my Mom, she made like a sigh of relief.....lol I was like 'Ma! Why didn't you tell me you didn't like it!!!!!' When my sister finally looked at the trial the first words out of her mouth were ' oh no...I don't like it' .......
I think she did a great job on it, don't get me wrong....I just think the front in blah and the curls are just not working for me...probably cause I'm use to my own.
Thanks Ladies!! i needed that, I was so sad and annoyed this morning about the whole thing (plus I'm pmsing...soo that's not helping!!)

I have been struggling with the same issue. My hair is curly, just like yours. I have grown to love the natural curl over the years, but I think I am going to have it straightened and then curled. I asked a lot of people about it (my cousin has the same curly hair as me) and most said not to go with my natural curl that day because you don't know what it will look like that day (it is so unpredictable). I also kind of like the idea of looking really different than I normally do. But, that picture is gorgeous and ultimately, you have to go with what makes you feel most comfortable.

Your trial pics are beautiful... But I completely understand how you feel (my hair is really curly too...) I think you should go with a look that you feel most comfortable in. My FH is the same way... I think they are used to seeing you a certain way and they want you to look like yourself on that very special day. Your hair is beautiful in its natural curls and I definately like that pic you have chosen... If you can find someone to give your that look and also know how to prevent your hair from getting frizzy (my biggest problem) then go for it!!!

I like both looks. Your curly hair in your avatar and epics look wonderful. Your trial also looks very good. However, I will agree with you that maybe the front needs to be styled differently to something that makes you look more like you. Perhaps ask them to curl it a bit more. Maybe that'll make you happier.

I LOOOOOOOVEEEEEE curly hair!!!! I have stick straight hair that WON'T bend for anything in the world, and I am going to try my HARDEST to have my hair curly on my wedding day!!!! If I have to wear curlers for a week I will do it damn it!!!!! lol I say you go for your natural hair!!!! XOXOXO Kitty

in my experience, though my hair is not as curly as yours (blown straight in my pic), it is true that your natural curls can be unpredictible, but if you are going to blow it straight and then curl it, it doesnt stay long (curling iron curls) - it actually comes out better to have rollers when your hair is wet and sit under the dryer for an hour or so - JMHO and depends on your hair
