My beautiful little kitty is sick, and today I should get her blood results from the Vet. The Vet had 2 guesses of what is ailing her, and neither are very good.

very sad, the vet called and she is a Diabetic
Now I get to drop her off for a Glucose test/eval, and once they figure out her dosage, I get to give her INSULIN SHOTS 2x per day for the rest of her life.
So sad!!!

yes, but I also feel responsible. She is overweight and I am pretty sure that's what caused this.
And the expense, well I cant even get into that. Timing sucks.

WHEN OUR LITTLE GUY WAS SICK, EACH TRIP TO THE VET WAS $400+, BETWEEN TESTING/BLOOD WORK/MEDICATION

My cat was also been vomiting at least once almost everyday and I'm hoping it was the food change. I have been monitoring him and hopefully the vomiting will stop if not I will have to take him to the vet... ugh.... this is sooo stressful and I totally understand when you said the expense and timing....
I hope it gets better for us.

I am in the same boat as you! My cat was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroid. Now I have to force pills down his throat twice a day for the rest of his life. They also want to do blood tests every 3-6 months to make sure the dose is working. Eff that blood tests are too expensive to get so often.

I THINK THEY ARE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN KIDS IN THE MEDICAL EXPENSE DEPARTMENT!
AT LEAST KIDS WILL HAVE OUR INSURANCE!

Don't freak out yet! My doctor thought my cat had diabetes and found out it was just stress! So, you never know! I hope your kitty is okay though.

the blood and urine tests showed she is positive for Diabetes. I wish it was pills 2x per day, but its shots. Awful

I am sorry to hear about your cat. At least it is something that can be controlled with medication!
And coming from experience...... shots are easier to give to a cat then getting them to eat pills...lol
