need your opinion

if you have the choice of filet mignon or prime rib at a wedding...which one would you choose? and why?...FH and I are split on which one we want for our reception. TIA

filet is more tender and prime rib has more flavor. I would go with filet because that fat half-circle grosses me out.

Filet mignon. Prime rib tends to be on the fattier side

I would say filet....the last few weddings i've went to (at really nice places!) have had prime rib as a choice but it was full of fat!! I ordered it at 3 weddings and didnt bother even cutting it at all 3 of them! Filet is a much nicer cut!

fliet mignon is a better cut of meat and prime rib is just a slab of meat.

Agree with the girls....every wedding I've been to, almost everyone at my table would order Filet.

filet for sure! whenever ive had prime rib it was really fatty and too red for my taste. if i was a guest i would choose chicken or pasta over prime rib, but i'd probably choose filet mignon over everything (although it would be a tougher choice)
