Need your Opinion

So we are getting married at our RH, HWC, and I want to have a Unity candle involved in the ceremony. My family is VERY Catholic and are already disappointed that we are not having the ceremony in a church. But, FH is Baptist and didn't want to get married in a Catholic church, so anyways...we want to have a Unity Candle Ceremony and I mentioned that to my Mom and she was like, but you don't have an alter so where are you going to set the candles. I was thinking they could just have a small round table under our archway? What are your thoughts? Will that look dumb? Do people do a Unity candle when not getting married in a church or is that like tacky or something? Any advice would help! Thanks!

I think that is a great idea. My friend did the same thing for her wedding. It was set up on a round table underneath the archway. It looked really nice. I say go for it.

I have seen alot of wedding on here that the couple were married at the RH and they had a small table for the unity candle. It will not look tacky. You have nothing to worry about.

I think that it is your wedding and if you want to have a unity candle you should absolutely have one. A round table with a nice tablecloth would be beautiful. Go for it!

No. . . I think that is very appropriate. I have seen people put a small table with things like a unity candle at many weddings.

we are also getting married at our RH. I'm jewish and FH is catholic. we are getting married by a rabbi and a priest. both religions will be incorporated and we are having a unity candle. People do it all the time. it looks totally fine. thats they way we are doing it.
