For now, FH and I still have seperate accounts. It works out very well this way and when we have to combine money, we do so.
But after the wedding, we are going to open up a joint acct and still keep our other accts also.
Please tell me what are some good banks to bank with for a joint savings with some decent rates that you and your FH chose to do business with.

we have bank of america, and love it. we have 'keep the change' which rounds your purchases up to a dollar and deposits the change into your savings acct, ive saved ALOT since last year. they also have 'add it up' which deposits a percentage of your online purchases at many popular stores into an account, if you use your bank of america debit or credit card.

I work at the bank of smithtown, It is one of the best banks out there right now

all of our accts are at citibank... we just opened a joint acct the other day there and the rate is crappy... but all the rates now are... its 1.5%... we still have our individual accts, but will put like bill money and all that into the joint

I bank with Chase. I have been using them for about 4 years now. They have awesome customer service...right now the rate for savings are really low...take a look at ING direct they usually have the highest rates for savings.

I'm a chase gal myself...FH uses them too.
We also have a joint orange savings thats linked into our Chase accts that has a higher % interest than Chase does, but we can move the money back and forth into either of our accounts.
