Need your opinions and prayers....

I mad a donation to the Susan G Koman breast cancer foundation, for my wedding and now I have a bigger reason..

One of my best friends has just been diagnosed with breast cancer and is going in for surgery on Tuesday...

I ordered pins for the bridal party to wear on the day of the wedding and i also got them for everyone at the wedding to put on the outside of the scrolls when i tie them together.

The question is do i just type up my own thing saying in Honor of Mrs. ...... a donation has been made blah blah blah? Or do I also put my aunt and other girlfriend who have also survived breast cancer on there as well... how do I do this????? She is supposed to be in the wedding party, we just don't know how she'll be in a month! Do you think it will be too much for her if I do put her name and make the donation in honor of her?? What do you think.. I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable if she is able to make it! Does that make any sense???


On another topic we (me and my friends and family) are all going to do the walk in central park this year... We should all join in! I am getting more information so when i do i will post it. Anyone who wants to participate can let me know and i will send you all the info (once I have it that it is!!)

Did you talk to her about using her name in the donation? I think having her, your other friend and your aunt's name is a wonderful idea.
What you are doing is so nice no matter what you choose to do.

I would include all of their names if you do use any names (although I may check with them first- some people are very private and don't want everyone to know). I will say a prayer for your friend.

If you are going to use names, I would check with them first, and I would include all of them, not just your friend - JMO.

I think it all depends on the people. If they are open people who wouldn't mind, I would do it. If they haven't told a soul, I wouldn't. You usually know which is which. I think they would be honored to be thought of in that way.

as far as what to do about the donation... we gave a donation to the lance armstrong cancer fund for our favor, becasue several people in both our families have had cancer.... but instead of naming names, we just said
' to honor our loved ones affected by cancer, a donation has been made... blah blah'
so that told why we made the donation, without naming any names.... maybe somehting like that would be good??
