Need Your Prayers *UPDATES*
Hi everyone. You may of noticed I haven't been on the boards for the past two days. The reason for that is my mother is in the hospital.Yesterday morning, My sister went over to my mothers condo to take care of her for the day, because she has been very sick recently and has been having trouble breathing. A little background on my mom, She has cancer of the liver. In 1990 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had a mysectomy. She started getting sick again around 3 years ago and hasnt gotten really bad since this summer. My mother is incredibly strong. They call her the miracle woman in the hospital. Whatever god has thrown at her, she fights right back 100%.
We called 911 and took her to the hospital. They put her on oxygen, took a cat scan and told us that the reason she is having so much trouble breathing is that she has an infection in bother lungs, which turned out to be Pnenomia (SP).
The doctor told us there was two choices. We could let her be, and have her on the oxygen until her breathing was really bad, and then put her into aheavy sleep, and do a procedure on her that would clean out her lungs or we could do the procedure right away. We decided to have the procedure done right away, and the doctor told us that would be the best thing to do.
The whole time my mom was in the ICU before the procedure she was worried about all the beeping, and ringing that the machines were making around her. She asked 'How she was going to sleep with all those machines going off?' We said don't worry you will be fine....That was around 5pm. We were told to leave and come back at 8pm.
We came back to find the procedure went amazing and she was resting. She had a tube in her nose, one in her mouth, and she was all hooked up. We kept touching her head, or her hand and she was kicking her feet and moving around....I think she knew we were there. Lets just say there hasnt been a dry eye in my family for the past two days. As I write this I am tearing....My mother is an amazing part of this family, and it is way too soon for God to take her. Everyone loves her so much and she has so much to live for.
This morning we went to see her and she looks so much better, her blood count went up and so did her blood pressure. When we brought her in yesterday, he breathing was at 56% and now it is at 78%. It wont be 100% ever because of the cancer and everything.
Can you please Pray for my mother. There is so much for her to live for. I just wish I could hug her and give her a big kiss on the cheek. I miss her so much, and I'm not ready for her to go yet. She is such a very improtant part of my life, my sisters life, and my dads life.
Thanks Everyone,
Scott
