i know duet is really popular on this site and I can see why - their work is amazing! I've tried searching for reviews and have found lots of positive feedback....but what about the negatives? is there anyone that used them that wasn't as happy as they thought they'd be? or if you met them and decided not to go with them, would you mind sharing why not? I didn't choose them because for my date their was only one photographer left when i met to meet with him and they didn't have many samples from him and those that they did i wasn't impressed by. Additionally, I didn't like that you couldn't meet with the photographer before signing the contract and the wait time for the photos after the shoot.
None of these are reasons why you shouldn't book them if you really like their work and the photographer who you want is available. Had either one of the photographers that i wanted from Duet been available I most definitely would of booked with them.

I frequent quite a few different wedding websites and I find it so interesting how different photographers are popular on different sites. duet is definitely very popular on here but not as popular on the other sites. I would say not even top 10. That being said, I did contact them at the beginning for a all inclusive quote. The fact that they have so many services and lumping it into one company was very appealing ot me. But. They never responded. Oh well. My philosophy is there are others that willingly want my money. But that's just my bad experience. Obviously other brides have had great experience with them otherwise they won't be that popular.
Anyway, as with all vendors don't do your research on only ONE website.....go on others too. Project wedding, wedding bee, wedding wire, etc.

my sister used them years ago and since then, they have expanded, but she had some issues with them..mainly the language barrier. Again, maybe things changed in 5 yrs. But, they kept messing up on her photo album and wedding dvd b/c I dont think they were understanding what she wanted. I am sure it changed though since then b/c they are super popular.

I used them and honestly do not have a single bad thing to say about them.
Love my photogs and video. They were on time and very easy to work with. Very professional!
ETA - that I had less than 2 weeks for wait time on all my proofs (epics and wedding)

I'm booked with them now. The only things I can think of that would be negative are.. * The language barrier * You better look over your contract a million times before signing it. After you sign it from what I hear they won't budge on anything. * I saw their video and it was just ok imo. We didn't book them for video.

I looked at them when booking and it seemed very factory to me..(my FH and i wanted to go with vendors that were small companies and that we personally clicked with) I can see why people love their work cause they are amazing, their pics are gorgeous .. but what bothered me personally was I met with someone that wasnt the photographer. u look through each photographers book and decide on which photog you want just from lookin..so you dont get to meet with the photographer at all until after you book. I felt I needed to click with someone i was goin to be around all day long. also the guy we met with didnt seem to bother with us and we got the vibe they do so much business that they didnt need ours.. so we decided to go somewhere else.
the positive though is alberto did my friends wedding and i loooved him and the pics were great!!! they are very talented!!! :)

I'm actually over on TK a lot and that's where I first heard of them. They rave about them over there!

Ditto on all of this however I did book them for video. We were on a VERY tight budget for video and FH didn't even want one so I went with them bc although I know it isn't going to be amazing I will still have footage of the day.

i used duet and they were amazing!!!
i didnt have a prob with laungage at all and i know 6 people who used them and the video was amazing as well
i have no worries that my video will be just as great as my pics were

I booked with them and met with them 3 times so far. I have met a few different staff members there and everyone speaks English perfectly. They actually seemed to be the only company that understood my vision. So far they are my favorite vendor.

I didnt want video but added it to the package and I was blown away with the video and I just go the basic video no extras
