Negotiating

Who's better at it? You or FH??

For us, neither of us! My mother is the negotiator...she talked the guy down, to the point where he was looking at me likw 'get yourf'in mother OUT'

I am. I've worked in customer service and sales for YEARS. So, I know if you talk long enough and work around with different options the first price they give you is never the lowest price.

FH is a little shy, but heck, it's our money I want the best value for my dollar... so if I've got to sit there for 45 minutes to work on your price I will.

I tend to suck at the negotiating, but FH is awesome! Between him and my parents, i forsee that kind of stuff going really well. I'm just going to sit there and look pretty (and ask about a zillion questions). I think collectively we'll wear them all down

not good at all. i wonder if i could have gotten them down on the price. they did throw stuff in though. idk, i'm just happy to be getting married.

neither of us are, but FH didn't go to any appointments with me except to the RH when i said this is the one, so he came that day to book it and take the tour.

FH is waaaay better at it. I suck! He's such a smooth talker. I guess that's why I fell for him hahhaha nah...he's just good at it cuz it's his job to talk and convince people to refinance their mortgages (which is soooooo tough right now!)

me all the way, and i'm not even pushy about it. I got us some awesome deals just by talking and opening up. It's surprising what some vendors will give you discounts on if you just tell them about yourself and what you want.

I'm so good at it. I refuse to take nothing but the lowest price with the most add ins. I've learned with the wedding stuff you cant be shy- just ask. If you're shy youll never get it. Who cares if people think you're cheap- unless they give you what you want youre not gonna book them and you wont haev to see them ever again.
