I'm getting really nervous now. My wedding is over a yr away and already one of the vendors I was interested is booked already. When do I have to book each vendor?
DJ Florist Photographer Limo Wedding Dresses
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have one of those wedding planning books but I'm thinking some of those times are unrealitic now.......

Re: Nervous......
Please don't make the mistake I made! The photographer I wanted was booked 1 year in advanced for my wedding, this caused me to kind of rush everything else. This was a big mistake! It doesn't mean everyone will be booked. We just changed our photographer last minute because of a rush-decision we made early. We also booked some 'extras' for the reception that we really didn't need and sometimes rushing to book can do that.
I am going to FM you a vendor I think you'll love.

Re: Nervous......
I beleive that it's never too early to research & book vendors. Especially those more popular ones. But don;t jump and book the first one you meet with just bc you are nervous. There are plenty of FANTASTIC vendors that aren't very well known on here. Good luck!

Re: Nervous......
For November 2012, now is the time to start looking for sure!
Dress should be ordered very soon unless it's from David's Bridal, it would arrive sooner.
I sent you FM about some vendor suggestions.

Re: Nervous......
i started calling photographers 18 months before my wedding and 2 of the ones I called already had bookings for my wedding.
I booked my major vendors early to ensure I got who I wanted.
Then again, my brother and FSIL are planning their wedding with 1 year exact from engagement, and she's been doing well getting who she wants!

Re: Nervous......
I'd say you should probably book DJ and Photographer soon. Some people have luck and get married within 9 or 10 months and get availability. It depends on time of year I think also.

Re: Nervous......
My florist works with my venue, so I didn't have to worry about a florist. My DJ, Photog & limo I booked in Dec/January. My wedding dress I loved the second I saw it. I purchased it last summer. My officiant I found a few days ago.
You don't have to book right away but do as much research as possible!!! People tend to hate on the fact that I got some low, low quotes for a lot of things. But hey,....I did my research!

Re: Nervous......
Start now.... Look into Gina Esposito for Photography....I know that she is the main photo vendor for your RH. And, she ROCKS!

Re: Nervous......
I think you're fine. My wedding is next October ... I got engaged in June and we immediately started looking at places, but only because I knew I wanted to be able to take my time. Now my wedding is in 11 months and I have church, reception hall, transportation, photographer, videographer, and DJ booked. We had out e-pics taken last week, and are going to send save-the-dates as soon as we receive the pics. It feels like a weight is off my shoulders. I want to spend the next few months dress shopping (goal is to order dress by January) and then in 2012 FH and I will focus on honeymoon and flowers, as well as the 'little things' (favors, napkins, etc.) But like I said, we did that because we didn't want to feel rushed or stressed in the months leading up to the wedding ... I know people who plan EVERYTHING in under a year so it can be done :)
