Netbride - Sizing Issues.

Hi everyone.

I'm just about to order my bridesmaid dresses from Netbride. Some of my girls are flabbergasted as to which size they have to order which I tried to tell them it all runs very small.

Anyway, has anyone on this board used them? What was the turn-around time - they say 12 weeks but is this accurate?

Please forward any advice or suggestions regarding Netbride.

I am very curious too, I am seriously considering ordering from them!!! Maybe it depends on the make of the dress. Does anyone know if the Impressions Bridal separates run big/small, if so- how much??? Thanks!!! Glad you posted this question!!

It'll depend on the manufacturer.
What we did was go to a salon and try on the sample size, which was a size 10.
Then based on the way the sample fit, the girls ordered the same size, a size up or a size down.
Basically it went like this
my sister and MOH both fit PERFECTLY into the sample so they both ordered a 10 (even though according to the chart, they were sz 8. I THINK the Jim Hjelm chart runs a bit on the small size)
2 of my bridesmaids are a bit bigger than my sister, and the sample was snugh, so they went a size up and ordered a 12. My last bm is a bit bigger than the girls who ordered the 12, so she ordered a 14.
It took about 3 months. Everything fit perfectly.
(all they needed were hems and cups)

Can you get the sizing chart for the dress designer? I think bridesave.com has sizing charts, at least for wedding gowns. Not sure about bm dresses.

I just checked bridesave and they do have sizing charts for bm dresses. If your designer is on there just go to one of their dresses and at the bottom of the page there is a chart.

I ordered my Watters and Watters BM dresses from netbride. They just came last week. The turn around time was about 8 weeks. We went to to Watters and Watters site to see their size chart and went by that. Most manufacturers have their size charts on their site. Netbride also has links to them, I think. All of the diffrent manufacturers sizing runs differently- don't get stressed if you are a size 4 and you have to order a size 6 or 8- that's just the way it goes. Besides, it's only a number.... When I buy jeans that are not my normal size I just rip out the size tag and within a few weeks I have forgotten all about it!!

I'm ordering Impression Bridals too,t heir size chart IS on the Netbride site, and seems to be OK, pretty much like Bridal sizes, which tend to run smaller than regular clothing. My BM wore a size 10 in Jim Heljm, (she's a 6 in real life) and she is measuring a size 10 in Impressions too. SO I would follow their size chart.

I ordered my Jim Hjelm bridesmaids dresses from Netbride.com and I am so Happy with them, Great way to save your girls some cash.

With the size issue, we ended up ordering up, rather be save then sorry and all the dresses seem to fit with of course alterations needed. For some reason the samples always seem bigger, I think this is bc so many sizes of girls are trying them on all the time. And yes I know the girls get so upset when they hear the size you are ordering but this is how they make money.

my sister in law to be wanted me to order her a smaller size, but I just asked for her measurements and ordered her according to them, a size larger then she asked for and it ended up fitting alittle big but I dont think the smaller sized would have fit.

about the Turnaround time,
they were very quick I was give a date of Jan 27th, 2003
and got them Dec 9th 2002
I would say I ordered the in Late Oct, dont really remember so it took approximately 5-6 weeks, NOt bad at all
