my doggy is getting fixed today!!! i'm a little worried... okay, i'm a lot worried, because i'm his mommy and it's what i do... because i feel like it's torturing him. he's not old, he's only a year and a half... but that's still a lot older than most people do it at. i'm just worried how he will bounce back from it, changes in his personality etc. any advice?
We got our pup neutered when he was just under a year, and he was fine. When we took him home he was a little groggy, but the next day, he was back to normal. They told us this would calm him down....NO CHANCE!! Your pup will be fine!!

thank you!! i get to go get him in an hour... i was teary when i left him, i'm such a dork. i can't wait to see that he's ok
i rescued my doggy, he is around 10 years old, and i got him fixed. he was fine about it, it actually saved him cause he was very infected with a large prostate
I neutered my dog when he was 8 years old. I showed him for years and they can't be neutered if you show them. When he was 8 he had a cyst (which turned out to be benign) so we had him neutered. He was 8 years old and he was perfectly fine after. I didn't notice any changes but every dog is different. He passed in February after almost 14 years.
