if you have the paper schedule there should be a 'J' next to the trains where you need to change at jamaica. as for figuring out which station you're at- if they're not announcing you'll have to look for the signs on the platform or ask somebody near you. if a ton of people get off you're probably at jamaica. also if you're not sure if you need to change or not ask the conductor when he takes your ticket.
