Ok, so I finally ordered, well a sample anyway, of the invitations I’ve been so worried about, and I want to rave for a moment about the place I went to – Karyn Michael Events in Massapequa. I haven’t seen the sample yet so I will post again if the result bursts my bubble. Anyway, I have been procrastinating with invitations forever because I felt like everything I saw was fine, but nothing to be excited about. But I got a business card from Karyn with a picture of something I liked and made an appointment. She was tremendously knowledgeable, seemed to understand what I was going for and helped me find something I LOVED. I am also thinking about doing my favors from her, but the one’s I think I fell in love with (wine stoppers with etched crystal plates) are a bit pricey. What is an acceptable price range for favors? What about for giving one per family? If anyone would like Ill post the website, I just don’t want to push her on anyone.
