We got engaged on the third day of our trip to the DR. It was about 5 pm, and we had been to the beach all day, but still had a few hours before dinner. I said i wanted to do something so FH said we should go take pictures. We are both huge picture people, so i was excited (and unsuspecting!!!) we walked around the resort a bit and then got to this big balcony overlooking the ocean. After taking a few pictures, he said 'ok, this was a trick' and got down on one knee! At that point i think I blacked out a little cause I dont remember exactly what he said LoL, but then the ring came out and he asked! I started crying, said yes immediately and then asked FH if he was serious like 20 times,lol! He used my great grandmothers engagement ring stone and put it in a new setting, so my family new. We called his family, but since we were out of the country, we didnt call friends since we got home, so it was nice to enjoy the rest of the week by ourselves!!!
