Im from Sydney, Australia and new to the forum. Ill be moving to NY towards the end of the year. Ok, now i am TOTALLY confused as to what we are going to do because 80 of his family and friends wont be able to go to Australia and vise versa. Sooo...at this stage we are trying to look for a venue that will cater for approx 80 people. Preferrably, we would like to have an waterfront/oceanview wedding.
I've got a quote for Chataeu La Mer but am not sure if they will take 80 guests...
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Many thanks!

I'm not sure what the minimum is but I think the Riviera caters to smaller weddings. Jesca just posted some pictures and its BEAUTIFUL!

definitely look into the riviera, depending on your date they should be able to give you a lower minimum and the view is gorgeous

Re: New and Confused
Most places won't take 80 for a saturday evening, but u should be able to do at many for an afternoon or sunday wedding

Re: New and Confused
Check out Fox Hollow, they have a beautiful room the Winter Garden Pavilion, i am not sure the minimum in there though but it does cater to smaller parties.. (there are a few girls on here who booked that room that would be able to tell you)
Also the Garden Room at Westbury Manor was really nice and it was a smaller room...
Congrats and good luck!

Milleridge Carriage House and Swan Club will do a small wedding of approx 75 depending on time of day and time of year.

Congrats and welcome!
I would suggest Caffe on the Green in Bayside, Queens, Its got a great view of the Throgs Neck Bridge and lots of places to take pics! They would cater to 80 people on any night!
