New Bride

Hello all!
I'm new to all of this and I was reading all of your messages to each other and I was hoping you could lend me a hand! I am newly engaged (and expecting our first baby, It's a Boy!) So money's pretty tight right now and I am sure many of you have found ways to cut corners and save here and there. I was hoping you could share your tricks of the trade. I still haven't booked Limo, DJ, photography, or invitations (I have the church, reception hall, and dress! hehe) So if anyone out there can recommend an affordable DJ, Limo, or Photographer it would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!!!

Well all I can sayi s bargain bargain bargain. NEVER take the first price anyone gives you.. Always tell them someone else offered you a better price and they will come down!

as for DJ .. try calling Bravura (bravuraentertainment.com) ... they have an 'a la carte' list so you can pick and chose what you want

I've really had to budget myself as well. The most affordable DJ's I've found are High Voltage and FM Entertainment.

You can get amazing photos at an extremely affordable price with Marianela Vera www.nellavera.com. I'm using TimeXposures and they're very reasonable too- I'm getting video with the package as well. The pics in my avatar/profile are from my engagement shoot and I have an album in my profile of epics as well.

Flowers - definitely go with flowers by Burton! Crazy affordable!! All flowers are the same price!! you just pay for quantity, not type of flower. www.flowersbyburton.com

Limo- cheapest I found was Primo Limo in Wantagh- they're a vendor on here as well.

First off...congrats on your engagement and your baby!!!

We are on a very tight budget with our wedding too so I had to do a lot of looking around before booking with places. I would definitely recommend FM Entertainment. Their prices were incredible and they offer showcases to show you what your wedding would be like. We booked Frank, one of the owners. For photography and the video we booked Duval in Wantagh. They offered us the best package and price. I have also found great prices on Ebay for stuff for the favors and other great little things.

I did a lot of shopping around. The least expensive DJ I found was VJ Entertainment and they gave us the best bang for the buck so to speak. Photography, definitely check out Artisan. Reasonably priced for quality work. Did you say florist too? I can't remember but if you did, go to Burton's.
