New Bride! Advice needed!

Good Morning!

Picking a place to have the wedding is starting to stress me out. Right now my top two choices are the Metropolitan and Bridgeview. We are going to have around 150-170 guest at our wedding in April of 2012. FH is worried that the Metropolitan is going to be tight with that many people. I know they do sitting on the 2nd floor, but we don’t want to separate our guest.. I love Bridgeview it is so big! I am taking FH back next week. I just hope it doesn’t remind him of his clubbing days.

This weekend we are looking at NRC and the Crescent Beach club.

Any reviews or advice on the 4 venues or suggestions on another place to look.

i went to an affiar at metropolitan and it was great...good food and everything. however it was a small grou pso they didnt need to use the upstairs space for seating. i opted against it for our wedding bc i was turnedd off at the thought of having guests sit upstairs.
sorry cant be more of a help on any other venues
good luck!

I've heard that a group that large at the Metropolitan would be tight, though I've never attended any events there. HTH!

When I saw the Metropolitan I thought it was pretty but I had a few problems with it... the parking lot is a bit creepy at night, the bridal suite is dated, and the cocktail hour room just wasn't my style. Otherwise, I thought it was very pretty and reasonably priced. I didn't taste the food but I've heard great things.

The only other place I've been to was the Crescent Beach Club. I was there recently for a Sweet 16 and it was adorable. Cocktail hour was outside on the beach with a steel drum player and they had drinks in coconuts. If you're getting married in the summer I think it would be beautiful! Inside was very pretty too but the beach setting is what I remember the most.

I really liked the Metropolitan, but it does seem kind of small for that amount of ppl :( But then again, it may be cool to do something different and have some ppl upstairs..i mean they will come down to dance, but idk if you are into that?

good luck choosing!
