New Bride and Help

Hi all,

I've been lurking for a bit, but not engaged all that long...top it with a wedding in 5 months and we're going right into marathon mode.

Has anyone had their information from their reception hall sold to vendors?
Has anyone had a salesperson leave and had to 'redo' some of the promises that were more verbal than contract?

Any advice would help!!

also, im a little confused by you mean by 'redoing promises' or what kind of advice youre looking for

yes, some girls RHs have sold their info and they would get calls from vendors looking for business. as for the second part, make sure you always get things in writing. not sure what else to say about that.

The sales person at the Reception Hall sent me emails and 'assured me that everythign would be taken care of' most is in writing, but some of the things like tasting dates and floor plans have to wait and truthfully the guy who took over I'm not sure I trust.

I'm just annoyed at the noticable 'flip' in presentation and attitude.

I think you should try to set up a meeting with the new person incharge and express your concerns. It can only make you feel better...Good luck
